Summary
What would be nice, is a Calendar object that can be included in Community wikis. Users can add events including recurring ones (much like one would do in Outlook), and then check "What's on" based on several filters.

I have a task that I think is new... and needs to be available to all the wikis at www.wikia.com. As a concept, I am browsing http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portal:Current_events and want to have something similar, where:
1. There is a calendar where people can add events much like Microsoft Outlook (i.e. one-off events, and recurring events based on a monthly, weekly, 2nd and 4th Wednesday etc., series of events).
2. The calendar is viewable (potentially in a list form like http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portal:Current_events), to that people can see everything that's on a particular day (days) into the future (or past, I guess).
3. The view of the calendar is able to be filtered according to a person's preferences, to via either All Events, or All Events with this tag or that tag, or that tag. (e.g. a Member is a part of a Club which is a member of a Division which is a member of a District; if they select the three, they get all events in the first, OR the second OR the third tag). More on that last one to the Volunteer who sees this as a challenge.
Any takers? Happy to discuss requirements/testing...
I think it would be really useful to most community wikis.
