[edit] Strobili prototype
Hi JSharp,
I wonder if you'd be interested in helping me with the development of a Ruby-based prototype for something that I've been brewing in my mind for a long time and just started to materialize. Strobili, as I nicknamed it, is a new concept for the creation and organization of virtual content in a socially-driven manner. You can read more about it in this page and it's sub pages that I wrote in the search wikia (the reason it is there is that I find the main principles of Strobili very suitable for Jimbo Wales' idea for a open source search engine, but I am also trying to initiate a stand alone open source project in parallel).
If you are interested and of course if you have any question or remarks, please contact me via my talk page (and yeah, I asked BenTerm the same thing and hence his answer in my talk page...). Thanks in advance, -Oshani 08:13, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
- I'd be happy to help you. Just let me know what you need and I'll see what I can do. -- JaeSharp 21:10, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
- JSharp, did you get my E-mail reply? --Oshani 14:30, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, I did. I am still thinking about it, it's something of an interesting way of looking at information. Perhaps assigning spatial information to relevant topics? -- JaeSharp 08:46, 15 June 2007 (UTC)
- Well yea, it begins with spatial representation but that's the only first layer out of three... Could you please send me an E-mail so that I can E-mail you more details? --Oshani 17:18, 16 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Infobox CVG on the Sonic Wiki
Hello, this is Navij11, the active SysOp from the Sonic Wiki. As we are a growing Wiki, we recieve a lot of information directly from Wikipedia. However, we are missing important templates that would allow us to do this, more specifically the "Infobox CVG" template. It completely fails to work. This is the template and This is a page where it was used on. As you can see, it doesn't work as-is.
Also, I have tried to get all of the templates that are linked to from the Infobox CVG page working, but it is generally failing, leaving a bunch of useless pages. I will go through and clean up those pages, but I do think it is necessary that we have this infobox CVG template, as it will provide quick, and clean, information for all people who do not want to go into too much detail. Thanks! - Navij11 14:31, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
- Hi there, I'd be happy to help you get this template working on your wiki. I'll start adapting it for you this afternoon. Once I am able to get started it shouldn't take long. :) - JaeSharp 21:06, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Oi, you
I contacted Angela about a bug in Wikia's ad software screwing up Template:Title at Halopedia. She suggested avoiding using the template for now, which doesn't really work for us because so many pages have incorrect titles due to MediaWiki's limitations, and then to further the mess caused by this we're the only wiki affected, as far as I can tell. We're currently using Sikon's code, which works under Monobook and Quartz on any wiki not affected by the allinone bug (and maybe a few others, haven't checked), but Angela suggested asking you about making something new that works across skins, regardless of any quirks on Wikia's behalf... so, yeh. Here I am. \o/ *hugs and kisses* --NOTASTAFF GPT(talk)(eating) 12:09, 5 November 2007 (UTC)
- Hi :) I took care of the problem. Please let me know if you experience any further issues with it. -- JaeSharp 12:05, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Computer Wiki
Angela told me that you could set up something similar to the Postcomment MediaWiki extension on Computer Wiki.

[edit] Block
Hi! I've just been blocked I don't know why. This was the "reason": Autoblocked because your IP address has been recently used by <removed>. The reason given for <removed> block is: "block evasion". I don't even know who he is. This is my first account in Wikia and I don't know how we can have the same IP. My block ID is #854 and my IP address is 10.10.20.183. [edit] Czech Memory Alpha
Hi! I'm sorry to report that the problem on Czech Memory Alpha, as reported on User_talk:Sannse#Czech_Memory_Alpha, has not still been solved. Please, could you tell the technical team to do something about it? Thank you! --JemHadar 11:14, 26 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Quick Box Template Help
Hey hey, Jae. I'm another one of those cases that Angela has thrown your way. We have a template that almost ready to replace our old version. The box has large amounts of unused space for the guild, class, and race rows. It is set up to hide certain fields when blank, while requiring that others (guild, class, race, faction, subject_name) be filled in to look proper.
Is the current appearance able to be fixed?
Thank you for your time!

[edit] Dynamic Navigation Table/Div
Hi,
I want to "update" the dynamic navigation table on the Dofus.wikia.com i was going back to wikipedias to check it out, but i notice a discrepancies from the one that we have at help page, and the one from where it comes originally at the german wikipedia.
Think you could help me? on this --Cizagna (Talk) 21:09, 18 January 2008 (UTC)
I have done a little cleaning/sorting of stuff the dynamic navigation as you may know its compose of 3 section, 1 that im not sure, 1 for wikitables and one for divs,
Divs:
- Comparison De.Wikipedia vs En.Wikipedia
- Comparison En.Wikipedia vs Dofus.Wikia
- Comparison De.wikipedia vs Dofus.Wikia
From what i notice is that when splarka did the JS it had stuff from the German and the English wikipedia, since i just know basic structure on program languages i really don't know which is best or what is the most updated/efficient one since ours looks like a hybrid
WikiTables: In this one is contain also the one that im not sure what it does i guess its for extracting the class type right? so its then use by the wikitables thing code?, any way this was develop at wikipedia so there is nothing on the german wiki.
--Cizagna (Talk) 19:17, 19 January 2008 (UTC)
Hi again, i keep snooping around the dynamic navframe in the german wiki and hit a great discovery!! The german wiki has it in way that it merges an image (see first example) not even wikipedia has it fully working it, if you accept to help me think we can fix that also? --Cizagna (Talk) 00:31, 20 January 2008 (UTC)
