[edit] Quick question about anonymous editing
Hi, Angela,
I have an idea for a wikicity, but one of the considerations I'm taking into account is that there is a strong possibility it would work better allowing only logged in user edits, no anonymous editing. This is because the subject matter pertains to a highly controversial topic, and one of the reasons I want to do this away from wikipedia is so that we can jettison the NPOV policy. Opening up to unlimited anonymous edits would, I predict, make the goals of the project not attainable, simply because we would spend our time "arguing" against the other "side" rather than developing our own content. My question is, is the allowance of anonymous editing an absolutely unconditional policy for a wikicity to adopt? If it is not, then I might be interested in starting a wikicity. If it is, no harm done, I would simply try to start an independent wiki elsewhere using wikimedia software. Thanks. 198.59.188.232 16:46, 16 Nov 2005 (UTC)
- How would preventing "anonymous editing" help? I'm assuming by this, you mean people would need to create an account. However, since creating an account actually makes you more anonymous (because your IP is no longer shown), and it only takes a few seconds to make an account, I'm not sure how this would help. How about trying it with normal open editing and see how it goes? I think it will be more important to have a strong community willing to enforce the wiki's policies than to lock it down with technical restrictions before it's even started. Angela (talk) 17:09, 16 Nov 2005 (UTC)
- You have a point. I guess I have another question then. You have to realise, my primary experience (only experience, really) is 2.5 years working at wikipedia. So, I've internalised the policies there to the point they seem "natural" like the way the planets move. What I'm asking is, suppose the wikicity makes the decision specifically *not* to be completely NPOV, and to actually take a general stand on the issue in question. (The subject happens to be a medical issue.) Would it therefore be considered okay to block users who make edits repeatedly showing that they disagree with the aim of the project and specifically with the general POV agreement of this particular wiki? There is a *lot* of disagreement among people even within a general POV, so a type of NPOV will have to reign. But I have a feeling the wiki might start to get flooded by the mainstream opinion (the POV I'm considering is definitely a minority opinion and many people are, let's say...extremely hostile to it.) And one of the reasons I wanted to do this here is to develop content among a (relatively large, I can easily see dozens if not hundreds of people contributing once they know about it) group of people, but without having to spend the majority of the time dealing repeatedly with issues that many of us feel have already been addressed over and over again over the years. Thanks. 198.59.188.232 18:02, 16 Nov 2005 (UTC)
- Just so I don't sound like I'm an out-of-touch idealist blustering in the wind, I would point out that the subject topic I am considering has an active MSN group with nearly 2,000 members, and although it is the "minority" viewpoint, it is the largest MSN group concerned with the topic, i.e. the "mainstream" discussion groups are smaller. I can think of a dozen people I know personally (and have known for several years) that I could contact to begin making contributions. Not all of them may jump in, but I bet many of them would. Even if not, I am willing to work for a few months to start several hundreds articles, using a combination of original material and importing selected material from wikipedia. 198.59.188.232 18:42, 16 Nov 2005 (UTC)
- After looking around the list of wikicities, I notice there are a number of "controversial" topics which form the basis of a wikicity. (E.g. Scientology, some of the political activism wikis, atheism, heck even anti-smoking, etc.) So, maybe it's doable. Again, my the feeling I have in my stomach is that I have been so indoctrinated into NPOV from working at wikipedia, that I would find it difficult to block someone based primarily or solely on the fact that they clearly are opposed to the aims of the wiki, rather than on explicit violations of NPOV policy or vandalism, e.g. Take Scientology wiki, e.g. I am imagining that if someone with a clear "anti-Scientology" POV comes on that wiki, and starts posting a lot of anti-Scientology references and information, that such a contributor would be blocked after a while because they were clearly not in the mindset of the goals of the wiki. *Even if their contributions satisfied the conditions of verifiability, notability, and NPOV standard at wikipedia.* I hope my concern makes sense. And thanks for taking time to address my concerns. 198.59.188.232 18:38, 16 Nov 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Acceptable file formats & changing <h1> header color
Hi Angela,
I'm not sure if this is the best place to post this, but here goes... I'm the admin of the GameBlender-4-Ever wiki and I've got a couple of admin related questions:
- The main file format relating to GameBlender is the .blend binary file format. File sizes aren't normally as large as you'd expect, only about 5-6 MB max. Is it alright for my users to upload these files to the wiki? I know they're not technically image files, but I can't find a list of acceptable / not acceptable file formats on WikiCities.
- Is it possible to change the color of the <h1></h1> header on a single page? In other words the header that displays the page title?

- Angela, what you need to do is to make a big rectangle over the image in Inkscape. Right click the rectangle, select "Fill and stroke". Set the fill color to white, and set the transparency down until it looks how you want it to. Make sure you don't use a stroke. Then, from the file menu, export as bitmap. I made a faded out big version too, Image:wclogo_faded2000px.png. --Phroziac (talk) 13:28, 24 Nov 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Boxes don't display properly on IE
Hi Angela (and welcome back!) :D
I'm having trouble with boxes on my GameBlender Wiki. I've created templates to make the boxes easier to make, and I copied the style of the boxes on the WikiCities homepage as basis for the template.
My trouble is that the boxes look fine on Firefox, but on IE they are missing the right-hand-side border. A good example of this is Template:Example Tutorial Listing. The root templates where the layout for the box is defined are Template:Row Of Boxes and Template:Box With Border.
I'd really appreciate it if you could take a look and tell me what I'm doing wrong. Cheers. :D
- —Gorgan almighty 11:07, 1 Dec 2005 (UTC)
- I've looked at it and I've no idea what the problem is. I guess it's just an IE bug, since the MediaWiki footer also has no right edge in IE, as you can see on any short page, like [1]. Angela (talk) 18:01, 2 Dec 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Sorry.
I'm sorry for asking you this if it sounds dumb, but you know the Megaman Wiki well you should your an admin there. Um, I'm an admin as well. Well, the most active admin there left and now I'm stuck with an inactive wiki, so should I just let it fall apart since well I can't do much there since I'm just a Bureaucrat there and I can't make that big of changes well I'm anxious right now and I'm worried since I like that wiki and I don't want it to fall apart, so you get the idea right? Now if this doesn't make any since then sorry I will rephrase it, oh and please excuse my nightmarish grammar. Bassium!
- I'll reply at w:c:megaman:User talk:Bassium!. Angela (talk) 13:12, 4 Dec 2005 (UTC)
Yes, um you see the person who owned it left, and I'm pretty sure he was a devoloper, I was wondering if I should take his place. You know pass the torch down. Bassium!
Ok, a user by the name of Tompkins made it, right? Well if so he was the one who left the wiki, now I need to be able to edit the backgrounds since well, the other admins there such as you and Jasonr and all of them are inactive, I need to be able to do all the stuff to the maximum right? Like changing the system stuff not just being able to make users admins and deleting stuff, so is there a way to were I am able to become a devoloper there? Bassium!
Is there a certain page here I can read to get some info on wiki editing?Bassium!
[edit] Wiki doesn't exist?
I don't know if this is just a temporarily technical problem, but the past couple days I've had occasional problems with pages not coming up, and it says, "This Wiki [AIDS Dissent] does not exist." I think it is a technical problem, because the wiki has only been up 2 weeks, and I wasn't told it was in any jeopardy, and also pages do come up occasionally. The problem has gotten worse the past day or so. Revolver 22:18, 4 Dec 2005 (UTC)
- The problems continue, I was only able to get Eliza Jane Scovill up after submitting it numerous times, and then every time I wanted to edit it, several times. Strange things happen, like the article comes up, but the history page insists the article doesn't exist! Some kind of technical problem. Revolver 00:26, 5 Dec 2005 (UTC)
- I'm having the same problem with Legendary Journeys, although it doesn't seem as bad (usually one reload fixes the problem for that page). Judging from comments above, it seems to be only affecting the recently created wikis.--Tim Thomason 02:48, 5 Dec 2005 (UTC)
- Every now and then I get a 1&1 (hosting company) page come up in French telling me that this domain has been registered by one of their clients.

[edit] Democracy Wiki
In checking wiki's out, I've discovered what appears to be a takeover of sorts. Some group calling itself Venturing Crew 898 has been setting up a number of pages since Dec 4 having nothing to do with the focus of the wiki. So far they haven't mucked with the main page or any other pre-existing pages, so most people probably haven't notice anything.--Kirk 22:24, 5 Dec 2005 (UTC)
- I've redirected the irrelevant pages for now and will delete them if there's no response. Angela

[edit] Request for an english version of Wikifun
Hi Angela,
as the Jokebook on the english wikibooks is deleted, i want to ask you again if we should start an english version of Wikifun. Most of the stuff could be moved directly to the Wikifun-Project.
If we start a other language-version of Wikifun, there should be a main site where the language can be choosed (like the C++ Wikicity) and several subdomains for each language.
I wish you and the whole wikicities-team a white X-mas - keep up the good work!! :-)

Thanks to talk and interest a problem.
Dear administrators of Wikicities, I am writing to you to ask you for assigning some new administrators to Nonsensopedia project. It is an project being strongly fast developed, but the development is held up, because we do not have enough people allowed to administer Nonsensopedia. Now there are only two administrators - me (Zeartul) and Yossarian (who have not logged in for more than one month). There are more and more vandalisms and I am unable to get along with it as I am the only active administrator here. Having it in mind I would like to ask you to give to users ZelDelet and Jaboja administrator privileges. I belive you will positively consider my petition.
Yours sincerely, Zeartul 19:24, 23 Dec 2005 (UTC)

Hello Angela,
On tokipona.wikicities there was a big vandalism attack, and I want to fix everything (I have to delete pages to be able to move some pages back to the original place; want to block vandals in future)! Could you give me sysop status there? I am one of those (few ;-) who are observing and editing the wiki quite often there, by the way. Additionally I am sysop on de.wikt and als.wikipedia, so I already know the jobs and tasks of an admin ;-) --- Best regards, Melancholie 03:11, 30 Dec 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Wookieepedia user(s) of question
User:General Grievous is clearly stated as multiple users on one account, with the intent of using a membership system on Wookieepedia. I find this very odd, and as they mentioned fees for membership, illegal on this site. Your insight is appreciated. [NOTE: I originally posted this on January 2, however was reverted due to a vandal just before me.] -- Riffsyphon1024 05:15, 5 Jan 2006 (UTC)
- Hmmm... I'm not sure if there trolling, being silly, or are seriously trying to do something. I'd just watch it for now and see if they start doing anything bannable. A shared account is pointless since anyone could change the password, which would not then be recoverable (and I'm not willing to reset the password to something else for an account like that if it does get changed). [edit] Some "noob admin" questions ...
Hi Angela,
thanks for your welcome message. I have recieved the wiki notification email with "Subject: Re: Request for a new Wikicity - clean." on 2005 dec 27th. If that's the one you were referring to, I don't know why it appeared bouncing to you.
May I ask you about a few difficulties that I cannot resolve by myself?
- How to address the sitenotice in the css? I'd like to give it a distinct background color. Simply adding them to #sidenotice {...} doesn't seem to have any effect.
- Also, I'd like to have a border around the white "Welcome to Clean City ..." box at the main page, but how to do this? At least, I have found and copied the responsible shared Template:MainStyle1, so I can try to customize it. Unfortunately, inside the style="..." tag, a border specification seems to be ignored?
- Yet another problem: I have uploaded the Clean City search logo, but as it is shown in the search box it still points to www.wikicities.com. I suppose I have to create/edit a MediaWiki page to let the logo link to the Clean City main page - but humm, which one?
Last, but not least:
Which is the best place to ask such questions? I do read around in the documentation and help pages quite a lot, but sometimes I just don't happen to find an answer there. Recently I have bothered Jasonr with some issues, this time I am asking you. However, I'd rather not keep you both busy by personal talk about every little problem I encounter. I am quite sure that many users out there come up with similar questions. Are there more "community driven" talk pages where people from various wikicities share their experience and give support to each other?
Thank in advance you for any help
zooloo
- Yes, that was the email I meant. I guess it was a temporary bounce and the mail still got through eventually.
- I just tried editing the sitenotice styles, but I can't see what's wrong. You could try asking on the Community portal to see if anyone else can help.
- zooloo: Thanks for trying to fix it. This is the first time I have to concern myself with css in detail. Apparently, the !important rule made the difference (to the sitenotice). Unfortunately, distinct coloring didn't turn out to look all that well. Sorry about involving you in dead end work. I've learned something useful thereby anyway, not only for the case of important announcements.
- Perhaps if you put a div with a style around the white box, you could give it a border?
- I don't know if there's a way to change where the search logo links to. Can you check with Jason about that?
- It's fine to ask me or Jason. Other places you might find useful to ask are the Community portal, the Mailing list and the IRC channel.
- zooloo: I could easily come up with half a dozen new questions already, most of which are technical ones, though. Your pointer to the the community portal certainly will prove helpful, but I might also have to keep bugging Jason for a while. (I am confident the frequency of issues will decrease drastically, once the initial work is done.)
- Please check your style changes in another browser. I just looked at it in Internet Explorer, and the whole sidebar is missing, so something must be wrong.
- zooloo: Thanks for telling. I did check in Opera 8.5, IE 5.0 and FF 1.07, with some slight flaws in IE remaining - nothing like a missing sidebar, though. Which IE version are you referring to?

[edit] Articles not appearing in Category list
I'm having a strange problem with categories on the GameBlender 4 Ever Wikicity. I'm trying to add an article to a category using a template, in a similar manner to the userboxes on Wikipedia. When you look at the article Creating A Health Bar it appears to be in Category:Tutorials by goldentaiji, but when you look at the actual category page the article doesn't appear in the list. The template I'm using to add the article is {{Original Author}}. I know the <includeonly></includeonly> tags don't work in 1.4 so I haven't used them. I don't understand why the article isn't appearing in the list. Is it a limitation of 1.4? Should I subst: it instead? Would you mind having a look when you get a chance? Is it possible to delete an account or an IP address from a wikicities wiki? If not, is it possible to make it so that only user with account can edit? Kumarhk 12:48, 15 Jan 2006 (UTC)
- The software of Wikicities does not allow accounts or IPs to be deleted. Wikicities are for everyone, both registered and anon. contributors. So I'm afraid that the answer of your second question will be negative. --DCLXVI 13:02, 15 Jan 2006 (UTC)

- While it is true, one can go extreme by going to the MySQL and deleting the account there... -- 00:02, 16 Jan 2006 (UTC)
- What of usernames which have no edits? There are about five dozen in Uncyclopaedia which consist of !!!!!User:Soandso-is-a-poopyhead or its equivalent as a username and I doubt any of this lot have any contribs. --carlb 03:31, 21 February 2006 (UTC)
- In theory, those could be removed from the database, but I'm not sure it's a useful thing to do since if they were blocked, deleting the name will just let them be recreated and the block will have gone. I suggest using Special:Activeusers and ignoring Special:Listusers. Angela (talk) 03:52, 21 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Recommended block
212.100.250.208 hit us this morning. Light & fixable, but annoying. Chadlupkes 15:16, 16 Jan 2006 (UTC)
- I've blocked the URL they were spamming since that's usually more effective than blocking one IP when they can easily come back with a new IP. Angela (talk) 15:59, 16 Jan 2006 (UTC)
[edit] My thoughts exactly :-)
The Wikicities:Protection says to only resort to this if there is persistant vandalism. There are alternatives to keep the main page free from vandalism, like moving the content to template pages instead of locking the whole page. There should be enough admins here than a couple of bits of vandalism aren't really a problem. KnowledgeIsSelf | talk. 17:13, 16 Jan 2006 (UTC)
[edit] My Page dosnt exist?
My page was made by you a few days ago so why is it not on the list? Whopper 22:46, 16 Jan 2006 (UTC)
- The list isn't up to date since each wiki needs to be added manually. You can add yours at Template:List of Wikicities if you like, but I'm hoping we will have an automatic list of these in future. Angela (talk) 23:05, 16 Jan 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Spam
Thanks for helping out with the recent spam at AIDS Dissent. I'm still the main guy holding down the fort, and I was gone at a conference this past week and wasn't able to do daily checks/upkeep. Thanks! Revolver 01:21, 17 Jan 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Thanks
I just wanted to thank you for deleting all the spam at Journawiki. Thanks! Maurreen 01:46, 17 Jan 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Danny Phantom
I want my own Danny Phantom wiki because I do not have control over the Nickelodeon wiki!Jake the Croboy 22:50, 17 January 2006 (UTC)
- You can not have control over a wiki on Wikicities. Please see Ownership. If there are problems on the Nickelodeon wiki, please work with the others there to improve it. Angela (talk) 23:16, 17 January 2006 (UTC)
- I want to be an admin automatically. Plus, the Nick wiki sucks anyway.63.19.138.109 00:55, 18 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] AmaZone wikicity under attack
Dear Angela:
The AmaZone wikicity has been suffering repeated attacks from different IPs: some insert links to porn addresses; others insert long lists of garbage. Is there anything to be done? Thanks. --200.165.233.48 00:22, 20 January 2006 (UTC)
- An automatic clean up script has been written to deal with this. More info soon... Angela (talk) 15:12, 21 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Wookieepedia.org
Hey Angela, just thought I'd mention that the domain www.wookieepedia.org expires on January 24, if you're still interested in hosting us. Oh, and it'd be great if you could reply to the discussion you started regarding our logo (link) --Imp 15:42, 20 January 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for telling me. I've sent your message to Michael Davis who is responsible for domain names, and left a message on the logo talk page. Angela (talk) 15:15, 21 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Spam Cleanup Script
I see a number of pages that were spammed have been reverted ...
with "Spam Cleanup Script" as the User name.
Is this something Wikicities has implemented?
This is a good thing, yes? ;)

Thanks -ts-talk 16:58, 20 January 2006 (UTC)
- It is something new to cleanup pages that contain URLs that are in the Spam Blacklist. I've asked Tim Starling to post to the mailing list with details about it. Angela (talk) 15:08, 21 January 2006 (UTC)
- well alrighty then.
- I see it didn't seem to work on one page at PeaceWiki, but that you reverted it yourself.
- And SpamScript just reverted it again. I now see why, and replaced a cjb.net link with one from TinyURL. Thanks. -ts-
- I thought it might. I hadn't read Spam cleanup script then though. Now you've replaced the cjb.net link, it shouldn't happen again. Angela (talk) 17:06, 21 January 2006 (UTC)

Hi Angela - when you get a chance, I'd like to invite you to the very first wikerview at the collaboration wikicity Meta Collab here: Angela wikerview.

[edit] Moving away
Hi, Angela,
It appears the dissidents have secured some funding from a donor and have set up their own servers using MediaWiki software. So, I've transferred all the data from the aidsmyth wikicity over to this new (privately-operated, open-source) wiki, and the wikicity will now be inactive. But, the wikicities was invaluable as a place to start! And I appreciate all the time you put in helping me and getting us started! Thanks. (p.s. I don't know if the wikicity should be deleted or just left; if the latter, would it be possible to just post a link to the new wiki, I suppose I could do that on the main page.) Revolver 23:37, 26 January 2006 (UTC)
- Ok. If you've moved the content away from there, it would proably be best to close the wiki since it's not a topic likely to thrive if its small community have gone elsewhere. Angela (talk) 01:58, 27 January 2006 (UTC)
- Alright, you can close it then. All the data is transferred, so nothing will be lost. Revolver 18:16, 27 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Memory Alpha bot status
Hello Angela! I am User:Alan Del Beccio, a mod on Memory Alpha, and I just created User:DelBeccio-bot (with the assistance of Cid Highwind) and through him I learned that I should see you to get that profile bot status (so that it works invisibly and so forth). So is there anything you need to know or have to do, or that I need to know or have to do for this status? Thanks! --Alan del Beccio 01:24, 27 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Right Wing
Hi Angela,
Can I get help with the wikidescription for Right Wing? I'm not sure how to collect the information for the interwiki links.
Chadlupkes 02:08, 27 January 2006 (UTC)
- Using {{subst:Wikicity|name|date|founder|lanuage|desc}} is the easiest way to create these description pages. Angela (talk) 05:05, 27 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Thank you
Thank you very much for your help. I have posted a note to the effect of giving Hercules the sysop option. I suspect there will be no reaction either for or against. Confusius 02:12, 28 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Deletions of my pages
Two things:First, on Wikicomedy it is mentioned that comedic works are allowed on Wikicomedy. It is not irrelevant to this wiki,
Also, if you continue to jerk and not restore ALL OF those, you have to give their content, because I have not saved pages such as "House of Crab" on anything.
GIVE ME EVERYTHING YOU DELETED BACK!!
- Deja vu. Also Deja vu too. Angela: Beware, if this is Ryan (pretty sure it is) he is 120% clueless. Splarka 23:21, 28 January 2006 (UTC)
- Carlow Crab is not relevant to any Wikicity. Please stop spamming. You've dumped this stuff on at least 5 Wikicities as well as Wikipedia. It is not acceptable. If you want a copy of the old content, you can get that from the database download. Angela (talk) 23:34, 28 January 2006 (UTC)
- Two things. First:Who is Ryan, Splaka? Also, Angela, you changed the whole idea of Wikicomedy. It was originally a place to put comedy material, but you rewrote the main page and messed up someone else's wiki. Damn you. I DEMAND YOU TO RESTORE EVERYTHING, NOW!!! I worked a long time to create what I put there so you BETTER restore it.
- Wikicomedy, before you changed the point of it, was for comedy material, which, whether you find it "funny" or not, is still what The Carlow Crab is. Anyway I have a Wiki called "Dannypedia", sponsored by [editthis.info Edit This] where you could put these things. (also, only an inconsiderate jerk would delete all that hard work.Jake the Croboy 03:36, 29 January 2006 (UTC)
- Since that's MediaWiki, I suggest you just get the database download and import it there. Angela (talk) 03:43, 29 January 2006 (UTC)
- Maybe YOU should do it yourself. If YOU do the work of deleting perfectly relevant material than YOU should do this too!
- Since that's MediaWiki, I suggest you just get the database download and import it there. Angela (talk) 03:43, 29 January 2006 (UTC)
- I might have done had you not moved all the pages to junk titles in a crazed vandalism spree. I will report this to your ISP if you try anything like that again. Using open proxies isn't helping you here. Angela (talk) 05:10, 30 January 2006 (UTC)
- That was Willy on Wheels doing that. NOW COPY THOSE TO MY WIKI!!Jake the Croboy 23:04, 31 January 2006 (UTC)
- That's an amazing coincidence that someone other than you would trash the wiki and write pages like "I wrote half the content of this wiki" at the same time you're complaining about it here. Angela (talk) 00:27, 1 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] No username given for Wiki creation
Hello, I just sent the form to create a wiki two days ago. The title of my wiki is "schmeii" but I didn't have username so you sent me a mail and I answered you with saying my username but you didn't aswer although you were active on wikicity. So, I tell you that my username is Nicoschmeii :D Excuse me in advance if it's normal you didn't answer straightaway and that you have to organize the time when you do certain things but like that I'm sure :P (and sorry for my bad english :( ) -- Nicoschmeii 18:30, 31 January 2006 (UTC)
- The wiki now exists at schmeii.wikicities.com. I'll send you an email with details. Angela (talk) 00:25, 1 February 2006 (UTC)
- Thank you very much! -- Nicoschmeii 06:19, 1 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Haven't heard back regarding new wikicity request, just confirmed my email
Hi there,
Around 1 or 2 weeks ago I submitted the form to request a new wikicity, but haven't heard back yet, and I don't see it on the rejection list either. I just realized that I had not confirmed my email address (which now has been remedied), which might have been what was preventing you from getting in touch with me if you needed more information. Anyways, you can email me or catch me on my talk page. Hope to hear from you soon! --Afker 21:03, 1 February 2006 (UTC)
- I've sent you an email about this. Let me know if you don't get it. Angela (talk) 00:21, 2 February 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for setting it up (-: I'm trying to setup the main page using the subst:wikicities:Main template, however I'm getting an error saying "Table 'alicesoft.transcache' doesn't exist" when I try to use interwiki templates. So I was going to just copy the template manually, but then the template uses more templates (and which seem to be missing), blah. -Afker 06:51, 2 February 2006 (UTC)
- Also is it possible to change the SITENAME to something else? It feels quite awkward to use exactly the company's name (minus the space). Perhaps change it to "AliceSoftWiki" or "Alice Soft Games"? Sorry for the trouble. -Afker 07:01, 2 February 2006 (UTC)

Can you please set a bot flag for User:Brian's Bot on the New Zealand wikicity. Thanks Brian
[edit] Wookieepedia needs
I thought I would let you know the ideas that we had in response to your suggested topic of software changes that Wookieepedia would like. I really appreciate your asking and being proactive in that way. We appreciate your support and your hosting of our community.
You can check out a summary or a transcript of the meeting.
[edit] Ideas
- Changing the look of the site. I assumed the best way to do this is coming up with our own skin?
- Adding hyperlinks to join meetings. IRC links are currently enabled, but I haven't heard anything yet on the request you submitted for the XMPP link.
- We will try IRC for the next meeting instead of Jabber
- Turning the misspellings maintenance page back on
- Turning the stats page back on
Thanks again for all your help! WhiteBoy 16:00, 3 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] New Wikicity SciFiTV
Hi Angela, I submitted a request to start a new Science Fiction TV Wiki called SciFiTV but haven't heard back from anyone yet. Just wondering if you could help me out with that. I'm new to Wikicities but one of the major conributors to the Muppet Wiki is my cousin and has been helping me along. I've already contributed to a few pages. Please let me know. User name: Cheetah111 Thanks.
- Since the TV has not been very successful yet, I suggest you add your content there for now rather than trying to make a new one which would be more specific than that. Angela (talk) 21:14, 3 February 2006 (UTC)
- Also, the email address in your Preferences is bouncing. ("The e-mail account does not exist at the organization this message was sent to.") Angela (talk)
[edit] Temp Admin
Could you give me temp admimship on the australia wikiciity, there has been a vandel attack. Thanks Brian 21:16, 4 February 2006 (UTC)
- Done. Good luck fixing it. Please let me know if you need help. Angela (talk) 04:07, 5 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Wookieepedia copyright discussion
Hey, Angela. I thought you might be interested in joining this discussion about the legality of a GFDL site about copyrighted material. Thanks. WhiteBoy 16:54, 10 February 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for the link. Angela (talk) 22:28, 10 February 2006 (UTC)
- No problem. Thanks for the comment. WhiteBoy 06:37, 12 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] new language for an existing wiki?
I want to start a new language for an existing wiki, but I don't know how I have to fill the Request a new wiki form. I should fill the form, as if it is a new project? I want to start a he Neopets Wiki. Thanks, 18:39, 10 February 2006 (UTC).
- Using the CreateWiki form is the easiest way. Angela (talk) 22:28, 10 February 2006 (UTC)
